The ASL19 Aluminator® Aluminium Stair Nosing is a 56 × 55mm straight-edge profile designed to provide durable step-edge protection, enhanced slip resistance, and vital visibility in low-light or emergency conditions. With a robust PVC non-slip insert and a photoluminescent Aluminator® glow-in-the-dark strip, it combines everyday safety with energy-efficient emergency guidance.
In the event of a local or emergency power failure, the Aluminator® strip absorbs daylight or artificial lighting (fluorescent or filament) and glows brightly, helping evacuees to locate stair edges and risers for safe orientation and evacuation.
The straight-edge profile offers a clean, modern finish suitable for a wide range of settings including offices, schools, hotels, cinemas, retail, and residential staircases. Manufactured from heavy-duty aluminium and fitted with a PVC insert, the ASL19 nosing is DDA compliant and Part M approved, ensuring full compliance with UK safety standards.
The Aluminator® system requires no wiring, no specialist maintenance, and is activated by normal illumination, making it both cost-effective and reliable.

Return Period
· Returns must be completed within 30 days of delivery
Condition of Items
· The item(s) must be unopened in pristine condition as on arrival (still in the sealed, clear cello packaging where applicable)
Return Shipping Costs
· The buyer is responsible for the cost of returning items. We are unable to refund any postage costs (except in the case of a faulty product)
Reporting Damaged or Faulty Items
· In order to be entitled for a refund for any damaged or faulty items we MUST be contacted within 24 hours of receipt due to limited time frame on delivery insurance.
· Photographic evidence must be sent to office@cayrus.co.uk (1 Photo of any damage item(s) and 1 photo of the packaging), please include your name and order number in the subject line
Special Order Products
· Special order products or items cut to specification can be returned in the event of any damage, in any other case will not be accepted for return
Change of Mind or Incorrect Product Ordered
· Where the customer has changed their mind, or ordered the wrong item, We MUST be informed by email office@cayrus.co.uk within 14 days of receiving goods
· The item(s) must NOT be opened, used or damaged in any way (including time in transit)
· If the item(s) is returned damaged, we reserve the right to refuse the refund. Goods are in the care of the buyer until they are safely delivered.
· All postage and carriage costs will be for the account of the customer and will not be refunded in the event of return of the goods
